Ryan Jo Summers, a regular contributor to PetGazette, is in the finals for The Romance Review’s Reader’s Choice Award in the contemporary romance category. Her novel, “Chasing the Painted Skies,” made it through the first round of voting that ended March 31, and is now a contender for the prestigious national award.

Summers, a Hendersonville author, is hoping that readers of PetGazette and area lovers of pets and romance will continue to support her with their votes. Fans can vote for “Chasing the Painted Skies” by going to and its Book Voting tab. Voting will stay open through Saturday, April 30.

“Chasing the Painted Skies” is Summers’ fifth novel, first published in 2015.  Her “Glimpse Eternity” was published in February of this year, and her latest novel, “Upon the Tide,” is due out in May.
