Black Mountain 16th Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade

The 2018 edition of the popular annual event will step off from the Black Mountain Town Square at 3pm on Saturday, October 27. The parade will make a loop along State Street, going to Cherry Street and then returning to the starting point.

Dog Day Afternoon down by the riverside

Radio station Mix 96.5’s Dog Day Afternoon event will be held again this year at the Salvage Station at 466 Riverside Drive in Asheville on Saturday, September 15 from noon to 4m. A portion of the day’s proceeds will go to the Asheville Humane Society, Mountain Pet Rescue, and Boxer Butts and Other Mutts.

Area canine clubs again host May, June events

The Blue Ridge Agility Club (BRAC) will combine with the Hendersonville Kennel Club (HKC) and the Spartanburg Kennel Club (SKC) to again host the Blue Ridge Classic of the Carolinas on Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28, Memorial Day weekend.
